Senior politician, eminent educationist, UK AL Adviser Advocate Mohammad Monir Hussain has sought nomination from Bangladesh Awami League in Sylhet-3 constituency (Dakshin Surma-Fenchugonj-Balagonj) in the upcoming parliamentary election. He came up with this announcement at a press conference in a local hotel on Sunday.
In a written statement, former VP of Sylhet Law College, Law Secretary of UK AL, Secretary of Grater Sylhet Council central Committee, President of Bangladesh Teachers Association UK, Monir Hussain said, I seek nomination from AL in the upcoming general election .” He has a clean image and hailed from Awami League family .
Monir Hussain said, daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Hasina will decide the candidature of the party and we will follow the instructions of her to win the next elections unitedly. He further said, eliminating of drugs, terrorism, water-logging is my main focus. Besides, Public University, ICT & Technology based university will be set up in his constituency .
