Popular folk singer of present time Monir Baula is hailed from Tangail. He has to pass maximum time to perform with folk songs in the stage shows in and outside the country. He wants to pass his life with music. But he feels bad because he has prepared five songs which yet not released. He does not find any audio production house to release those songs, according to him. Monir Baula said, “Music is my inspiration. I want to work for development of folk songs. With everybody’s co-operation I want to work for folk music. I will perform in live musical night on Asian TV on September 14.”
In 2009, Monir Baula became champion of music talent hunt contest, Sur Doriya Epar Opar. His debut solo album Dehotori was released in 2012 under the banner of Laser Vision. His-rendered a play-back song of movie Poramon got popularity among the music-lovers.
In music, Monir Baula got first lesson from his father Md Muktar Ali. Then he completed four-year Diploma course in Folk Music from Govt Music College. In that college, he got the opportunity to receive training from Indramohan Rajbongshi and Zahir Alim. Now he is receiving training from his father who is a regular artiste of Bangladesh Betar and Television.
