Sabbir Hossain :Prolific Mominul Islam dazzled with the willow as the 23-year left-handed batsman remained unbeaten with 131 in his unfinished second innings against Zimbabwe on the fourth day of the third Test at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Saturday. He reached his fourth Test hundred landmark using 156 deliveries.Mominul Haque played 189 balls. His 271-minute sedate innings was ornamented with 13 fours.Mominul Haque could prolong his innings but Captain of Bangladesh team Mushfiqur Rahim declared the second innings at 319/5. Mushfiqur Rahim declared the innings to whitewash the African side. Zimbabwe trailed 378 runs with nine wickets remaining on the fifth and final day of the third Test.Mominul Haque played only 12 Test matches. He had four century and seven half century. Mominul played 23 innings and scored 1198 runs. Mominul’s highest score is 181.The one-down batsman was deprived from a half century for just two runs in the first innings of the third Test against Zimbabwe.It may be mentioned that the tiny man was an occasional bowler but he could not cut any brilliant figure in his Test campaign so far.
