Mominul advances 11 steps in ICC’s batting rankings after Ctg Test

Bangladesh middle-order batsman Mominul Haque rose 11 spots from 35th in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) latest Test batting rankings list updated on Wednesday.
The left-handed batsman achieved the feat after his stunning performance in the first Test against West Indies at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
Mominul was adjudged man-of-the-match aggregating 132 runs in the match. He hammered 120 runs in the first innings.
Bangladesh registered a 64-run victory against the visitors. The 27-years-old diminutive batsman from Cox’s Bazar, Mominul played so far 32 Tests, making his debut in the longest format against Sri Lanka at Galle in March 2013.
With bat, Mominul aggregated 2484 averaging 44.35 runs, including eight centuries, with a career-best 181 runs against New Zealand also at Chattogram venue in October 2013.
