Momena Chowdhury in BTV’s serial after 16 years

After a break of 16 years, popular actress of theatre and TV play Momena Chowdhury is acting in a drama serial of Bangladesh Television (BTV).
Mostafizur Rahman is making this serial under the story, which was adapted from noted writer Selina Hossain’s novel Opeksha. Sayeed Sumon has scripted the serial from the story of Selina Hossain’s novel. The serial is being aired on BTV at 7:30pm every Saturday.
It may be mentioned that in BTV, Momena Chowdhury acted last serial was Dure Kothao, directed by Riaz Uddin Badshah.
While sharing her feelings to perform in the serial Momena Chowdhury told this correspondent, “After a long time break I am working in any drama serial in BTV. In the serial, I am acting in role of a psyche patient mother. I have lost my child. I am going under mourning for 17 years. In every moment in my mind, I imagine my child. Story of the serial revolves with this child.”
Besides working in this serial, Momena Chowdhury is also acting in some TV plays including drama serials.
As a theatre actress, Momena Chowdhury is a popular name among theatre performers. She has been attached with theatre troupe, Aronnyok for more than 24 years. She became limelight to perform in solo actor theatre play titled Laal Jamin.
