The Supreme Court has upheld the death sentences of war crimes convicts BNP leader Salauddin Quader Chowdhury and Jamaat leader Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed after hearing on two separate review petitions. A four-member Appeal Division bench headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha passed the orders on Wednesday morning rejecting the review petitions. Earlier on 30 September, Appellate Division upheld death sentences for Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed and Salauddin Quader Chowdhury, awarded by the International Crimes Tribunals for their crimes against humanity in 1971. –risingbd.com
