Former Mayor and President of Chittagong City Awami League Mohiuddin Chowdhury apprised the present organisational situation of the party in Chittagong to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday .
The city AL President exchanged views with the Prime Minister while paying a courtesy call on PM on Friday evening at Gonobhaban in Dhaka, party sources said.
During the courtesy call , two sons of Mohiiuddin Chowdhury Barister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury and Borhanul Hasan Chowdhury were present there.
Sources said this was the first meet of Mohiuddin Chowdhury with Prime Minister after Chittagong City Corporation election that held in April last.
Aimed at presenting the total picture of the organizational activities in port city, Mohiuddin chowdhury calls on PM after 10 moths of CCC election, reliable sources said. Barrister Nowfel told this reporter that Mohiuddin Chowdhury stayed with the Prime Minister for about 30 minutes and enquired the health conditions of the city AL president.
He also told that during the meet, Mohiuddin Chowdhury also discussed the overall matters of the party’s organizational activities and related matters.
Sources said PM asked the City AL president to uphold the party image and ongoing activities above all factional differences and to resist the militancy of any kinds and also cautions against the war criminals.
PM also calls for sustaining the unity among the leaders and workers.
