Anti-terrorism case: Mohiuddin, 5 other HuT men indicted

A court here on Tuesday framed charges against six members of banned Islamist outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir, including its chief coordinator Mohiuddin Ahmed, in an anti-terrorism case.
The court also fixed October 24 for next hearing in the case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Kamal Hossain passed the order after rejecting a discharge petition filed by the six militants.
The rest five are Kazi Morshedul Haque, assistant joint coordinator, Tanvir Ahmed, Towhidul Alam Chanchal, Saidur Rahman Ragib, Md Abu Yusuf Ali. Police arrested a group of Hizb-ut Tahrir leaders and activists including Mohiuddin from a meeting against the government in Uttara on April 18, 2010.
A case was filed against him under the Anti-Terrorism Act in 2010 with Uttara Model Police Station.
Police submitted the investigation report on February 9, 2013 against Mohiuddin Ahmed and five others.
The case was transferred to Dhaka Metropolitan Session Judge’ Court on April 21 the same year.
