Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited recorded a hard-fought solitary goal victory over Uttar Baridhara Club in the Nitol Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League held on Thursday late evening at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
In the day’s match, Mohammedan’s Portuguese forward Hardy Pinto hit the Uttar Baridhara cross piece in the 52nd minutes.
In the 77th minutes Uttar Baridhara winger Dulal Hasan cut a low cross to his Nigerian teammate Lucky Divine in at the top of the six-yard box but Lucky failed to take control.
In the last minute of the stipulated time substitute forward Md Wahed scored the decisive goal for Mohammedan with a placing shot from a close range as left back Arup Baidya curved the low cross from the left flank (1-0).
With the day’s win, Mohammedan SC improved their tally with 20 points from 11 matches while Uttar Baridhara have six from the same number of outings.
