Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited gave an upset to title aspirants Usha Krira Chakra beating 5-3 goals in their Super League match of the Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.
Usha Krira Chakra secured 38 points from 15 matches while Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited gained 32 points from as many matches.
Mohammedan led the first half 3-1.
Rasel Mahmud Jimmi of Mohammedan Sporting Club scored five goals with a hat-trick.
On the other hand, Aleem Belal of Usha Krira Chakra struck a hat-trick.
Meanwhile, Dhaka Abahani Limited thrashed Bangladesh Sporting Club by 6-2 goals in the day’s other match at the same venue.
Abahani Limited bagged 33 points from 15 matches while Bangladesh Sporting Club remained with 16 points from as many outings.
Abahani had a 5-1 goals lead in the first session.
Razib Das of Abahani Limited scored two goals and his teammates Kasif Ali, Shakeel Abbasi, Sheikh Md Nannu, Rumman Sarkar successfully struck one time each on the board.
On the other hand, Belal, Prince of Bangladesh Sporting Club netted one goal each.
