Dhaka Mohammedan SC earned a comfortable 3-1 goals victory over Soccer Club Feni in the Nitol Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday.
Striker Zahid Hasan Emily, Egyptian midfielder Mostafa M Seddik and forward Wahed Ahmed scored one goal each for the winners while Motiur Rahman netted the lone goal for the losers.
With the day’s feat, Mohammedan SC have secured 14 points from nine matches while Feni Soccer remained at four points, also playing nine matches.
In the day’s match, Emily put Mohammedan ahead in the 16th minute from a penalty. Soccer Club defender Moudud Ahmed brought down onrushing Zahid Hossain in the danger zone and Emily did no mistake to convert a spot kick (1-0).
Egyptian midfielder Mostafa M Seddik doubled the Mohammedan’s margin in the 25th minute scoring his first in the ongoing league, by a placing shot off a low cross of Zahid Hossain (2-0).
Forward Wahed Ahmed scored the 3rd goal for the traditional black and white team in the 48th minute, also place the ball home from close range utilizing a left flank cross of Arup Kumar Baidya (3-0).
Substitute midfielder Motiur Rahman scored the consolation goal for Soccer Club, Feni in the 65th minute, off a Akbar Hossain Ridon pass (3-1).
