Mohammedan lose to Sheikh Jamal in DPL Cricket

Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited lost to Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited by 16 runs in their match of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Monday.
Batting first Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited piled up 161 runs in the stipulated 20 overs and then restricted Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting club Limited to 145 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.
Nadif Chowdhury of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited remained unbeaten with 57. He played just 43 balls.
Shamsur Rahman shuvo of the popular Motijheel-based outfit made 29 from 23 balls. Shuvagata Hom scored 13 from eight balls, while Abu Hider Rony hit 14 from eight balls.
Off-spinner Mohammad Enamul of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited grabbed three wickets in the space of 13 runs, while pacer Ziaur Rahman bagged two wickets at the cost of 20 runs.
Earlier, Nurul Hasan Sohan of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited struck a terrific 76. His 34-ball innings was laced with five sixes and four fours.
Ziaur Rahman made 35 from 17 balls hitting three sixes.
