Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited take on Chittagong Abahani Limited in an eleventh round match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football scheduled to be held today at the Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS).
The match kicks off at 6.15 pm, following the day’s another match between Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra and old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society which begins at 3.45 pm at the same venue.
Both Mohammedan SC and Chittagong Abahani Limited are not in a comfortable position in the points table as the two teams are currently facing tough challenge to stay in the title race though there are still more rounds to left in the league.
Bashundhara Kings, which is the strongest team in the league with pen and paper, maintained their supremacy so far by dominating the league table with 31 points from 11 matches and they will have good chance to retain the league title this time as well.
The traditional black and white Motijheel outfit Mohammedan SC stand at sixth position with 15 points from nine matches while the port city team place at seventh position also with 15 points playing ten outings.
On The Friday’s match, both Mohammedan and Chittagong Abahani must be looking forward to improve their position in the league table by winning the match.
On the other hand, the traditional old Dhaka team Rahmatganj stand at ninth position with eight points from nine matches while the freedom fighters place at tenth position with also securing eight points playing the same number of matches.
