Dhaka Mohammedan SC earned a 35-run victory over BKSP in the Dhaka Premier Division Women’s Cricket League at BKSP ground-4 in Savar on Wednesday.
Mohammedan SC batted first after winning the toss and scored 181 runs for 7 in stipulated 40 overs with one down national cricketer Fargana Haque making 81 runs off 103 balls featuring 10 fours and one six.
Besides, Lata Mondal (38), Deepika (not out 38) and Rubaiya Haider (15) were other major contributors for Mohammedan SC.
Nahida Akhter made the major damage to the Mohammedan innings grabbing four wickets for 13 runs while Soborna Mustary bagged two wickets for 57 runs.
Chasing a target of 182 runs, BKSP were forced to fold their innings at 146 for 5 in quota 40 overs with one down Soborna Mustary making 93-ball 59 runs hitting six boundaries.
Besides, Farzana Akhter (47) and Morsheda Khatun (15) were the other notable scorers for BKSP.
Sharifa Khatun and national spinner Khadiza-tul Kobra took one wicket each conceding 17 and 29 runs respectively.
