Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club beat Old DOHS Sports Club by nine runs, according to the Duckworth/ Lewis Method in a rain-interrupted match of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket at the BKSP Ground-4 in Savar on Sunday.
Sent into bat first, Mohammedan Sporting Club made a fighting total of 154 for the loss of five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and then Old DOHS Sports Club were restricted to 115 for the loss of four wickets in 16 overs. Old DOHS Sports Club had a revised target of 125 runs to win in 16 overs.
Wicketkeeper batsman Irfan Sukkur of Mohammedan remained unbeaten with 68. His 42-ball innings was studded with five sixes and three fours. Sukkur was adjudged the Man of the Match for his superb innings.
Opener Abdul Mazid of Mohammedan Sporting Club hit a run-a-ball 29 featuring two fours and two sixes.
Rakibul Hasan of Old DOHS Sports Club bagged two wickets at the cost of 30 runs, while Al Islam, Hamidul Islam and Asaduzzaman Payel took one wicket each for 21, 26 and 40 runs respectively.
Later, Mahmudul Hasan Joy of Old DOHS Sports Club hit 26 from 18 balls including two fours and a sixer, while Anisul Islam Emon made 23 from 28 balls featuring four fours and Mohaiminul Khan remained unbeaten with 20.


Shuvagata Hom of Mohammedan grabbed two wickets at the cost of 25 runs, while Taskin Ahmed took one wicket for 12 runs.
Meanwhile, Dhaka Abahani Limited posted an easy 30-run win over Prime Bank Cricket Club, according to Duckworth/Lewis Method in a rain-interrupted match of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League Cricket at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on the same day.
Electing to bat first, Dhaka Abahani Limited piled up a mammoth total of 183 for the loss of three wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and then restricted Prime Bank Cricket Club to 143 for the loss of six wickets in 19 overs. Prime Bank had a revised target of win to score 174 in 19 overs.
Opener Munim Shahriar of Abahani Limited remained unbeaten with 92. His 50-ball innings was laced with five sixes and nine fours.
One-down Najmul Hossain Shanto hit a polished 30. His 21-ball knock was ornamented with two sixes and two fours, while opener Mohammad Naim made 29 from 27 balls featuring five fours.
Pacer Shoriful Islam of Prime Bank Cricket Club bagged two wickets in the space of 38 runs, while Alok Kapali took one wicket conceding 32 runs.
Opener Tamim Iqbal of Prime Bank Cricket Club notched up a superb 55. His 41-ball innings had eight fours and a sixer.
Second-down Mohammad Mithun made 34 from 37 balls including three fours and a sixer.
Aminul Islam and Tanzim Hasan Sakib of Abahani bagged two wickets each for 20 and 35 runs respectively. Besides, Mohammad Saifuddin and Arafat Sunny took one wicket apiece.
