Barisal Bulls’ Al Amin Hossain and Sylhet Super Stars’ Mohammad Shahid have been found guilty of breaching the BCB code of conduct during the teams’ BRB BPL match held on Tuesday last at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur in the city.
Both Al Amin and Shahid have been handed fines for breaching Article 2.2.7 of the code of conduct, which relates to ‘inappropriate and deliberate physical contact with a player’.
A fine of Taka 40,000 (forty thousand ) has been imposed on Al Amin while Shahid has been penalized Taka 30,000 (thirty thousand) for the Level 2 offence which took place during the final over of the Barisal Bulls’ innings with the players getting into a heated exchange after Shahid had got Al Amin out.
If found guilty under Article 2.2.7 of the of BCB Code of Conduct a player faces a fine of Taka 30,000 to 50,000 (thirty to fifty thousand Taka) and/or a 01 (one) match suspension, Following the conclusion of the match, the four players admitted the offences and accepted the proposed sanctions.
As such, there was no need for formal hearings, said a BCB’s press release.
