UNB, Dhaka :Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday left Dhaka for home after wrapping up his two-day state visit to Bangladesh.The Indian Prime Minister paid his maiden visit to Bangladesh from June 6-7 after his swearing-in as the 15th prime minister of India on May 26, 2014. The visit took place at the invitationof Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.A special Indian Air Force jet “Rajdoot” carrying Narendra Modi and members of his entourage departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here at 8.54 pm.Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina saw off her Indian counterpart at the VVIP Tarmac of the airport. She presented a bouquet to the Indian Prime Minister before the latter boarded the jet.Earlier, the Indian Prime Minister was given a static guard by a smartly turned out contingent drawn from Bangladesh Army. The Bangladesh Prime Minister introduced her cabinet colleagues and other dignitaries to Narendra Modi at the presentation line.Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and Law Minister Advocate Annisul Haq were also present at the airport to see the Indian Prime Minister off.Besides, Cabinet Secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, PM’s Principal Secretary Md Abul Kalam Azad, Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque, the chiefs of three services, the inspector general of Police, the dean of the diplomatic corps, the Bangladesh High Commissioner to India, the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, the PM’s Press Secretary and high civil and military officials were present.
