The three-day “Modern Jewelers Cup Golf Tournament-2016” ended through prize-giving ceremony held at Rangpur Golf Club (RGC) in Rangpur Cantonment Friday night.
More than 100 contestants of different Golf Clubs from all over the country participated in the male, female, junior and sub-junior groups of the tournament sponsored by ‘Modern Jewelers’ of the divisional city, a press release said.
Earlier, Rangpur Area Commander, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 66 Infantry Division and President of RGC Major General Md Masud Razzaque, ndc, afwc, psc, inaugurated the tournament as the chief guest.
In the Male Group, golfer Lieutenant Colonel Md Mamunur Rashid Chowhdury secured the first position while golfer Major Hassan won the best gross award.
Golfer Major Humayun became the runner up while golfer Dr Zabed won the second best gross award.
Golfer Major Tauhid became the second runner up while golfer Major General Md Masud Razzaque won the third best gross award.
Golfer Brigadier General Shamsuddin became the third runner up while Colonel Moazzme won the third best gross award.
Brigadier General Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah won the maxim par award while Colonel Kahar became the fourth runner up.
In Female Group, golfer Mrs Shahida Fazal became the winner while golfer Mrs Nasrine Haque Bobby was awarded for becoming the best gross.
Shova secured the first position while Fida became the runner up in Junior Group.
