Planning Minister A H M Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday at a post budget discussion emphasized on the introduction of modern education system in the country for building a knowledge-based society.
Underscoring the necessity of incorporating the people of all segments of the society into mainstream of development, he said the present government is working to make the country free from hunger and poverty by 2030.
“The country has already witnessed reduction of poverty and increased rate of education, per capita income and agricultural production due to initiatives of the government,” Kamal added. Department of Disaster Science and Management and Centre on Budget and Policy in cooperation of Comprehensive Disaster Management Programme (CDMP) organized the discussion on “Budget of Disaster Management and Relief” at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban in Dhaka University Campus.
