Several parts of Bangladesh, including capital Dhaka, have felt a moderate tremor due to a quake in the Indian state of Assam. The epicentre of the 5.5 magnitude quake that hit at 7:05am on Sunday lay 26 kilometres beneath the surface and 17 kilometres northeast of Basugaon, in Assam, according to the US Geological Survey. The tremor was also felt in Bhutan. In Bangladesh, it was felt n Gaibandha, Jamalpur and Mymensingh. No damage or casualties have been reported. Source : bdnews24.com
