The Additional District and Sessions’ Judge’s Court of Dhaka yesterday recorded the depositions of two witnesses in the case filed on the charge of the murder of Syeda Tania Mahbub Tinni.
Judge Keshob Roy Chowdhury of the court recorded their depositions, while the witnesses were Tinni’s father Syed Mahbub Karim and elder uncle Syed Rezaul Karim.
However, as witness Syed Rezaul Karim could not complete testifying
on Wednesday, the court fixed February 23 to record the incomplete depositions of the witness.
Earlier, November 15 was fixed to record the depositions, however, the two witnesses did not appear in the court and court fixed January 5 for deposition.
Eight years after the murder, the court indicted a former Jatiya Party lawmaker from Barishal-2 (Banaripara and Wazirpur) and student leader, Golam Faruq Ovi in July, 2010.
