A college student and a promising model was killed in a road accident in Chattogram city on Tuesday.
Deceased Tithi Barua, 21, was the daughter of Sadhon Barua, a resident of Ichhamoti village in Rangunia upazila. She was a 1st year honours student of Economics Dept in Chattogram Government Women’s College.
A bus hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in front of Holy Crescent Hospital in the port city leaving her critically injured, according to police and local people. Later she was rushed to Chattogram Medical College hospital (CMCH) where the on-duty doctors declared her dead.
Johirul Islam, in-charge of CMCH police check post, confirmed the matter.
Tragedy struck down Tithi when she alongwith her some friends was going to visit Foy’s Lake Amusement World by a three-wheeler from GEC crossing. But, none of her friends was found beside her after the accident, police said.
