If a foreign house worker has a contract of 18 months or greater, the ministry may issue additional visas (up to a maximum of 2). Those applying for five-year visa cards will be scrutinised according to the same regulations as Saudi citizens. Those applying for their first visa will need to show financial ability of SR 5,000 or over and a bank balance of SR 35,000, which can increase up to SR 500,000 for the fifth visa.
Married male and female residents with salaries greater than SR10,000 will be allowed to recruit two workers, while bachelors will only be allowed one.
