The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has taken an initiative to sell milk, egg and meat at affordable prices through mobile outlets in the capital during the month of Ramadan.
The mobile sales programme will be inaugurated by Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim on the premises of Department of Livestock Services in the capital on Sunday, a press release said.
The mobile outlets will be available at 10 places in Dhaka and the programme will continue till Ramadan 28.
Initially, the outlets will be introduced at Abdul Gani Road adjacent to Bangladesh Secretariat, Khamarbari intersection, Japan Garden City, Mirpur 60 feet Road, Azimpur, Nayabazar in Old Dhaka, Arambagh, Natunbazar, Kalshi in Mirpur, and Jatrabari.
At the outlets, pasteurized milk will be sold for Tk 60 a litre, beef Tk 550 per kg, mutton Tk 800 per kg, dressed broiler chicken Tk 200 per kg, and egg Tk 30 a hali (four pieces).
