Mobile courts fines 802 men over Tk. 2 lakhs in Kishoreganj

The district administration of Kishoreganj has conducted mobile courts at different crowded places of the disitrict to prevent the outbreak of coronavirus infection.
Civil Surgeon (CS) Office sources said, in recent days the corona situation is deteriorating day by day making the people of the country more worried. The mobile courts led by Executive Magistrates are also realizing fines from the persons who are not wearing masks during the Pandemic
The court has fined at least 802 people Tk. 216900 in 13 upazilas of Kishoreganj last 3 days for not wearing masks.
The courts also distributing quality masks to the common people specially the daily wage earners , rickshaw pullers, van paddlers and the poor to contain the lethal virus infection.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kishoreganj Mohamad Shamim Alam said that these fines have been reduced to nominal. The second wave of Corona has started in the country. The number of virus affected and death is increasing at an alarming rate every day. To avoid coronavirus, it is essential to follow hygiene rules, including the use of masks.
Therefore, campaigns are being carried out in every important place of the district to increase public awareness including ensuring the use of masks.
The operation will continue, DC added.
