A mobile court in Raozan upazila of Chittagong conducted in Dabua union parishad area on November 6 last and realised an amount of Tk70 thousand from three separate persons.
Following the directives of District Magistrate, this moble count was conducted, sources said.
Sources said, some uncrupulous timber traders indiscriminately cutted the trees from a canal protection was leaving risk of erosion of the embankment.
Raozan UNO Md Shamim Hossain Reza led the mobile court. Instantly Tk.50 thousand fined to timber trader and another Tk.20 thousand realised from two persons who installed saw mills occupying the govt land in the area.
The penalty money has been deposited to govt fund, sources said.
