A mobile court in Chapainawabganj fined and jailed 25 people on charges of taking drug on different terms during daylong anti-drug drives in Chapainawabganj sadar upazila on Saturday.
The mobile court was conducted by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) jointly led by the company commander of the Chapainawabganj camp of RAB-5 Squadron Leader Mohammad Sayeed Abdullah Al-Murad, executive magistrates Md. Saiful Islam, Md. Robin Mia, Md. Ashraful Islam and Khadiza Begum, RAB sources said.
The drives started at 10.30am and continued till 6pm. The mobile court imprisoned the addicts on different terms and also fined them of Taka 87,500.
