A mobile court conducted special drive at the mustard oil mill of Md Akmal Hossain at Ullapara in Sirajganj on Wednesday .
The mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Arifur Rahman and Tanjil Parvez conducted the raid and fined Tk 20,000 for adulteration of mustered oil under Section 53 of Consumers’ Rights Act.
It is alleged that Akmal Hossain at Ullapara in Sirajganj has been involved in adulteration of different oils for long time and it was being sold in various brand name .
People of the area have been affected for consuming adulterated mustard oil and the oil was being marked in the name of ACI and Pran, it is alleged .
