Speakers at a programme on Saturday recalled The Financial Express Editor AHM Moazzem Hossain who passed away on Wednesday as a professional and honest journalist who always performed his duties with honesty, morality and neutrality.
They made the remarks at a commemorative meeting organised by Economic Reporters’ Forum (ERF) on the late journalist at its office in the city.
Mahbubur Rahman, chairman of The financial Express Board of Directors and President of International Chamber of Commerce Bangladesh, spoke at the programme as the chief guest while Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha Managing Director and Chief Editor Abul Kalam Azad was a special guest.
At the programme, Moazzem Hossain’s colleagues shed light on his life and works.
Moazzem, also the founding president of ERF, passed away at a city hospital on Wednesday at the age of 73.
