The four-day sixth “MK Traders Choitali Cup Golf Tournament-2017” kicked off at a colourful ceremony on the Golf Ground of Rangpur Cantonment in the city on Thursday.
The tournament is being sponsored by the MK Traders, a business institution that supplies medical and surgical goods to the northern Bangladesh, a press release said.
More than 100 contestants, including international standard 30 professional golfers with Siddikur Rahman, have been participating in the gents, ladies, junior and sub-junior groups of the four-day tournament.
General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 66 Infantry Division, Rangpur Area Commander and President of Rangpur Golf Club Major General Md. Masud Razzaque formally inaugurated the tournament by taking TEE-OFF shot as the chief guest.
