Setsuyo Astec Corporation, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, has launched its representative office in the country to strengthen market survey, information collection and such other capabilities.
Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Kazi M Aminul Islam inaugurated the new office as the chief guest at a function at a hotel in the city recently, said a press release on Friday.
Among others, Setsuyo Astec Corporation CEO Motokazu Inaba and senior officials of the Japan Embassy, Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA), Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) and Japan Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JBCCI) were present at the event.
In light of the business environment in Bangladesh, the press release said, they have set up the office in Bangladesh as their 11th overseas office.
