Tarequl alias Mithu, arrested in connection with the killing of ex-PDB chairman Khijir Khan, reportedly confessed to his crime before a court here on Sunday.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate
M Lutfar Rahman Shishir recorded the statement of Mithu under section 164 of the penal code in the afternoon.
The same court also placed Mithu and Alek Bepary, driver of the vehicle used by the killers during the Khijir Khan killing, on a two-day remand in a case filed in connection with the killing of Maulana Nurul Islam Faruqui, programme presenter of private television station Channel i.
