Mithai to open 100 outlets by next year

Chain shop introduces canned sweets soon

Sweetmeat brand Mithai is going to introduce canned sweets by the end of this month, enabling consumers to preserve it from six months to one year.
Besides, the officials said, this chain shop is also going to add 10 types of different tasty sweets and preparation is on to export these sweetmeats after meeting domestic demand, report agencies.
In a statement, Chief Operating Officer of Banga Bakers Limited Animesh Saha said the company, at present, has 33 types of sweets including Chomchom, Laddu, Kalojam, Rashogolla, Kachagolla, Kacha Sondesh, Kher Toast, Malaikari and Barfi.
“Now, we are going to introduce some new sweet items, including Jafran Vog and Milk Parshia,” Mr Saha said.
He said consumers would be able to purchase Rashogolla and Golapjam, two different canned sweets, from their showrooms by the end of this month. “People need to preserve it in a freezer or preserving it in 28 degree centigrade temperature.”
Marketing Director of PRAN-RFL group Kamruzzaman Kamal said the number of Mithai showrooms is increasing across the country so that people can buy quality sweets easily at an affordable price.
At present, 20 outlets are in operation in the capital city and it will be increased to one hundred across the country by 2018.
“We have a plan to export our sweet items. Firstly, we will export our canned sweets to Canada,” he said.
