The 20th Council Meeting of MIST was held on Tuesday at Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Mirpur Cantonment. Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, MP presided over the meeting. Commandant MIST, Major General Md Wahid-Uz-Zaman, ndc, aowc, psc, te welcomed the minister.
The meeting covered important aspects of MIST development like land purchase for accommodation of students, faculty and staff; opening of Counseling and Placement Center (CPC), approval of Discipline Policy-2019 of MIST, promotion of faculties, higher study of CIV faculties, approval of total seats for admission of BSc engineering students in different departments, opening of Center for Environmental and Water Management (CEWM) under MIST and various decisions were taken.
Chief of Air Staff and other PSO’s of Army, Navy and Armed Forces Division, VC BUP, Engineer-in-Chief, high ranking representatives of Dhaka University, BUET, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology were present in the meeting.
