A young man, who had remained missing since after a person called him out of the house seven days back, was found dead at a swamp at Chakar Beel in Bhaluka upazila on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Mostakar Ahmed, 23, a motorcycle driver and son of Mosharraf Hossain of Purura village in Bhaluka.
Golam Sarwar, officer-in-charge of Bhaluka Model Police Station, quoting family sources, said Sumon, son of Jalal Uddin of the village, had called Mostakar out of the house for going to Trishal on September 24 and since then Mostakar had remained traceless. Mosharraf Hossain, father of the victim, filed a case in this connection with Bhaluka Model Police Station.
Later, police arrested Mamun, Masud and Billal in this connection. Following the confessional statement of the three, police recovered the decomposed body of Mostakar from Chakar Bari beel (water body) on Thursday afternoon.
