Missing youth, IWTA staff found dead in Chandpur

A missing youth who went missing four days ago was found dead hanging from a tree in a solitary tree garden adjacent to and behind his home at Gabdergaon West village under Faridganj Upazila on Friday .
On getting information, Faridganj Thana Police Sub Inspector Gopinath Odhikary along with force recovered the body on Friday afternoon. He was identified as Motaleb (21)- a day labourer and son of late Abdul Matin.
It was believed that Motaleb committed suicide. The reason could not be ascertained as yet.
The body was sent it to Chandpur General Hospital morgue for post mortem on Saturday. His mother Sufiya Begum filed a UD case in tthis connection-said the Sub Inspector.
On the other hand, a BIWTA, Chandpur staff was found dead on Wednesday floating in the Meghna river in Hizla Upazila area of Barishal district after he went missing five days ago in Chandpur.
He was Md Abdur Rashid Mollah,55, a field level staff of IWTA, Chandpur.
His colleagues said, he worked as Pontoon Sareng. A resident of Ward No 11, Moiddhya Gunrajdi village in Chandpur Municipal area, Rashid suddenly went missing since 21 Feruary night. Following his missing, his son Rashedul Islam filed a GD with Chandpur Model Thana on 24 February. Fishermen spotted his body floating in the Meghna river in Hizla area of Barishal. His mobile set was recovered from his dress and following the SIM, his identity was ensured and the family members were informed of his whereabouts in Hizla. On getting this news, his elder brother A Majid Mollah rushed to Barishal to recover the body after post mortem there..
