Police recovered the body of a young man from a field at Habaspur village in Pangsha upazila early Saturday, two days after he had gone missing.
Mohammad Mofazzal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Pangsha Police Station, said Alam Pramanik, 37, son of Ismail Pramanik of the village, went missing on Wednesday night on his way home from his father-in-law’s house.
Police arrested Karim, brother-in-law of Alam, after the victim’s father lodged a complaint with the Pangsha Police Station on Friday.
On the basis of information gleaned from Karim, police recovered the body of Alam from a field in the morning, the OC added.Police sent the body to Rajbari Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.A murder case was filed in this connection.
