A young man, who had gone missing three days ago, was found dead in a pond near Bazar road in Daudkandi upazila on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Sumon, 25, son of Mannan Member, a resident of Sabjikandi village of the upazila.
Quoting victim’s family members, Md Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Daudkandi Model Police Station, said Sumon went missing on Thursday. Later, his brother filed a case against unnamed people.
Later, locals spotted Sumon’s floating body in the pond adjacent to Daudkandi toll plaza at night and informed police. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Comilla Medical College and Hospital on Sunday morning
