Missing transport trader’s body found at DMCH morgue

The body of a transport trader, who went missing three days ago, was found at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue in the capital on Saturday.
Family members identified the victim, Foyez Uddin, son of Sahaz Uddin of Chhota Latifpur village in Kaliakoir upazila, at the morgue in the morning.
Foyez started for Jatrabari in the capital on Wednesday morning to
seen the condition of his bus which he kept at a garage there for overhauling, said family sources.
However, he went missing after noon, they said.
A General Diary (GD) was lodged with Kaliakoir Police Station in this connection.
Meanwhile, pedestrians rescued a man from Jasim Uddin Road in Uttara in an unconscious condition on the day and sent him to a local hospital where he died.
As police could not ascertain his identity, they sent the body to the DMCH morgue, said Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Kaliakoir Police Station.
After a frantic search, family members went to the DMCH in the morning and identified the man as Foyez.
Police said doper gang might have left Foyez at Jasim Uddin after taking away valuables and cash from him.
In another incident, an unidentified man was reportedly killed in a road accident at Salna in the city on Friday night.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital.
