A teenage girl, who had been gone missing five days ago from Bishwanath upazila, was rescued from Jagannathpur upazila in Sunamganj district on Saturday night.
Dulal Akand, officer-in-charge of Bishwanath Police Station, said the victim’s father filed a general diary over missing of his girl on April 16.
On information, a team of police led by sub-inspector Rakibul Hasan raided a house in the upazila town at night and rescued the girl.
Police also arrested Shahan Ali, 19, son of late Yaad Ullah of Majhergaon village in Bishwanath upazila and Sahin Mia, 26, son of Abdul Jabbar of Gobindaganj village in Chhatok upazila in connecting with the abduction.
The girls’ family members alleged that the two young men abducted their girl alluring to marry her.
Later in the night, the girls’ father filed an abduction and rape case accusing the duo, said the OC.
