A teenage girl was found dead in a market of Baroikhali Bazar in Sreenagar upazila on Friday afternoon, four days after she had gone missing.
The victim, Limu Akhter, 18, daughter of Abdul Matin, went missing on Monday after she went out of her house for buying clothes.
Her father filed a general diary with Sreenagar Police Station on Thursday in this regard. On Friday morning, sensing bad odour coming from the ground floor of ‘Chand Supermarket’, locals spotted the body of the victim in a sack with her hands and legs tied with rope and informed police.
Later, police recovered the body around 2:30pm, said Yunus Ali, officer-in-charge of the police station.
