The body of a student who went missing while taking bath in Piyain river in Jaflong on Friday was recovered on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Akikur Rahman Anik, 20, son of Dola Miah, hailing from Nabiganj upazila in Habiganj district, used to live at Ambarkhana in the city and a second year student of Economics Department of Sylhet MC College.
A diver team retrieved his body from the river around 11am, said Jasim, sub-inspector of tourist police.
Anik along with his friends went to visit Jaflong on Friday morning and went missing while taking bath around 2pm.
