Police recovered the body of a minor school girl from a water tank four days after she went missing at Boidderbazar of Sonargaon upazila in Narayanganj district .
The body was recovered from the water tank near a construction site in Ulukandi area on Friday morning.

Police recovered the body of a minor school girl from a water tank four days after she went missing at Boidderbazar of Sonargaon upazila in Narayanganj district .

The deceased, identified as Anisa Akhter, daughter
of one Saudi expatriate Anisur Rahman of Daodergao village of the upazila, was a third grade student of Ulukandi Primary School.
According police and local sources, Anisa went missing while going to private coaching on April 23. After extensive search, her uncle Alamgir Hossain filed a general diary (GD) with the Sonargaon Police Station. On Friday, locals smelt a stink coming from the water tank and informed police.
Sonargaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Morshed Alam said that the miscreants strangled her to death and dumped the body in the tank.
The body was sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy, the OC said. A case has been filed with the police station in this connection.
