A day after the missing, police recovered the body of a schoolboy from a marsh in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Pantha Saha, a student of Class VIII of Chapair Bibi High School and son of Uttam Saha.
Local people found the body of Pantha in Sonadia Beel on Thursday night and informed police. The body bore several injury marks.
The dead body has been sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy
Sub-Inspector of Kaliakoir Police Station M Ashrafuzzaman said, Pantha’s cousin Shubho Saha, 21, and one Dipto Saha, 18, were detained in this connection.
Family members said that Shubho called Pantha out of his house over cell phone on Wednesday afternoon. He was missing since then.
