A schoolboy was found buried in a garden of Dublia village in Sadar upazila on Friday, four days after he went missing.
The deceased was identified as Ashique Mahmud Oni, 14, son of local trader Rabiul Pramanik. He appeared at this year’s Junior School Certificate examination from Dublia High School.
Victim’s cousin Shawon Reza Khan said Ashique went to see his father’s
shop at the village in the evening of November 26 and after sometime, Rabiul asked him to go home but he did not return.
Rabiul filed a general diary with Ataikula Police Station the following day after failing to trace him.
Seeing a herd of foxes were dragging something out of a hole in a garden in front of Dublia police camp on Friday morning, curious locals went there only to find the body of the schoolboy. Later, police recovered the body.
Moniruzzaman, Officer-in-Charge of Ataikula Police Station, said they detained Ashique’s two classmates for interrogation over the incident.
