The body of a missing policeman has been found dead four days after a trawler capsized in the Meghna River during a storm.
The body of Selim Mia, TSI of Narayanganj City police, was recovered from the Megna-Sitalakhya estuary at the Bandar Upazila’s Dighirpar area on Wednesday, said Md Mamunur Rashid, deputy assistant director of District Fire Service and Civil Defence.

Selim hailed from Gopinathpur village in Gopalganj, according to the police.
The body of Selim was handed over to police but the trawler has not yet been found, Mamunur said. The trawler, carrying election officials and law enforcers back from two separate polling stations in Narayanganj’s Sonargaon, sank on Sunday evening.
