The dead body of Selim, a missing youth from Kapasia in Gazipur, was found hanging from Ward No. 34 of Gazipur City Corporation on Sunday. Family of the deceased Selim has been able to find him through Facebook, but the cause of death has not yet been confirmed.
Selim is son of Muslim Uddin of Baratala Mor area of Singhashree Union in Kapasia upazila. Selim was identified by his elder brother Rubel after seeing a picture of an unidentified youth that went viral on Facebook around 12 noon on Monday.
The elder brother Rubel said that Selim is the youngest of their three brothers. Selim worked in a tailor’s shop in Mauna in Sreepur upazila. Two days before the last Eid-ul-Azha, he took leave from the shop and never came home. No one in his house knew where he had been in the past. He did not communicate with anyone. The family can know the news of Selim’s death in Gachha police station area of Gazipur by looking at the pictures through Facebook.
Gachha police sources said the hanging body of an unidentified youth was recovered around 2pm on Sunday. An autopsy was conducted at the morgue of Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital.
