IT professional Ataur Rahman Shahin, who was allegedly abducted from the city’s Tejgaon area three months back, returned home on early Monday, according to his family members.
“He returned to his Mirpur residence around 1:30am,” Shahin’s brother-in-law Rabiul Islam told media, adding, “We are happy that we got him back alive.”
Anisur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Tejgaon Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police also confirmed the news while talking to reporters on Monday.
Shahin, 38, an Assistant General Manager at a private institution in Tejgaon, was reportedly hustled into a microbus around 8:05pm on May 2.
