UNB, Chuadanga :
A minor girl was found dead in a septic tank at Ishwarchandrapur village in Damurhuda upazila on Thursday afternoon a day after she went missing.
The deceased was identified as Mukta, 3, daughter of Mister of the village.
Abu Zihad Fakhrul Alam, Officer-in-Charge of Damurhuda Model Police Station, said Mukta went missing on Wednesday afternoon when she went out of the house for playing in a field adjacent to her house.
Locals spotted Mukta’s body in the septic tank of the house of Nasir Uddin and informed police.
Later, police recovered the body around 2pm and sent it to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital morgue.
Police detained Mukta’s father and Nasir Uddin for interrogation.
