After almost two days of the collapse of the four storied building in Baburail area of Narayanganj, rescuers on Tuesday recovered the body of Iftekhar Ahmed Wazid, 12, who was missing since then.
“We have identified the body to be of Wazid,” said Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defense Deputy Assistant Director Abdullah al Arefin told the media.
Earlier on Sunday, a sixth grader Soyahor Hossain, 12, was killed while seven others left injured when a four storied building toppled at Baburail in Narayanganj.
The building, HM Mansion, situated beside the Baburail canal in the Munshibari area caved in around 4:15pm on Sunday.
The deceased — Soyahor Hossain, son of late Shahabuddin was a student of Sunrise Kindergarten School in the locality.
Both Soyahor and Wazid were in the building for their Arabic lessons at their aunt Ramna Begum’s house at the time of collapse.
